August 31st is all about firetowers! Celebrate with us with beer, history of firetowers, and stagecoach rides.

 

Schedule of Festivities

6:15 PM: History of Octoberfest Beer Tasting & Workshop

Optional. Join Ernest Hohmeyer for a 30-minute workshop on the Myths and History of Octoberfest while you savor six (6) different imported craft beers from around the world. How did Octoberfest start? Was it always about beer? $25 Per Person.

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Taste of Octoberfest Dinner

Savor a specially priced Taste of Octoberfest Dinner buffet in our Lake View Great Camp or on the Lake View Patio, which offers a picturesque view of the sunset and St. Regis Mountain. Specialty selections from our hand-crafted wine & Beer Cellar will be available to add on. $39 Per Person.

Covered Wagon & Sunset Stagecoach Rides

Optional. Add on a Covered Wagon or Sunset Stagecoach Ride from Lucky Clover Sleigh Rides and their magnificent Percheron Draft Horses Jasper and Fly. Ride on an authentic 1800s Stagecoach as you meander through the Lodge’s nature trails and down to the beach. Stagecoach rides: $25, Wagon Rides: $15.

8:00 PM: History of the St. Regis Mountain Fire Tower & Raffle Drawing

A special presentation about the History of the St. Regis Fire Tower from a member of the Friends of Saint Regis Mountain Fire Tower Group.

Plus, you can enter to win fun prizes from the FOSRMFT group, the Lake Clear Lodge, and Lucky Clover Sleigh Rides! Support the Fire Tower and get a chance to win a Lantern-lit Sleigh Ride ticket, FOSRMFT merch, Common Roots Cookbook, Balsam Pillows, Adirondack Alps Speakeasy "Bullet" Glasses, and much more.

9:00 PM: St. Regis Fire Tower Lighting

Volunteers, having carried various lights to the mountain summit, will light the tower from 9:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The purpose is to draw attention to the historic role fire towers played in the protection of the community and the surrounding forest.
